This topic may seem like a no-brainer…but I actually get questions about baby bath tips pretty frequently in my office. Sometimes the answers are counter-intuitive (did you know daily baths can actually help sensitive skin?). Watch the short video below for the answers to my baby bath tip FAQ’s.

The diaper is changed, baby is fed and cozy….and yet…the crying continues. What can you do with a fussy baby? The short video below covers when babies cry the most and what works (and doesn’t work) to help them calm down.
When parents come to me for a prenatal “meet and greet” visit, sometimes they ask me for pre-baby recommended reading. I always suggest this one, which was written by well-respected pediatrician Dr. Karp. It’s absolutely my favorite because it explains the fussy period, what (doesn’t) cause it, and how to get through it while preserving some sanity.
For more information on the fussy period, dubbed “the period of purple crying” (P.U.R.P.L.E. is an acronym), visit this excellent resource. It reminds you that you aren’t alone as a parent of a fussy infant and can really help when you aren’t sure what to do with your fussy baby.
Remember that every baby is different. The intention of babyfluent is to share science, not to negate anyone’s experience. If you have had success with any of the interventions that statistically “do not help”, I don’t doubt that…and cheers to you!

Watch this under-2-minute video to hit the highlights of babyproofing you forgot. You might need to stock up on these after watching the video.
